This week, we have welcomed back a familiar face to our team in Liverpool.
We’re super excited to announce that Sophie Dance has returned to Poke as our new Account Manager after 6 months of travelling across South America and Asia.
Sophie originally joined Poke in 2024 as our Creative Intern before moving into a Marketing Executive role. She now returns to the team with experience in client management and strong strategic skills, bringing a fresh perspective to both the team and our clients.
It’s been a really exciting time for us at Poke lately and one of the best parts has been bringing more brilliant people into the team. One of our goals has always been to build a place where talented people want to work and where clients want to work with us, so it’s great to have Sophie back on board!
Hear from Sophie below:
Sophie Dance, Account Manager

What are you most looking forward to about being back at Poke?
I’m really excited to get stuck back into such an inspiring space. One of the things I love most about Poke is being surrounded by such talented, creative people who constantly surprise you with the way they think.
There’s always an energy in the team that pushes ideas further, and I can’t wait to jump back into that, creating work that genuinely excites me.
How has your time travelling influenced your creativity?
When you’re constantly exposed to new places, cultures, people, and ways of thinking, it forces you to open up your mind to new ideas.
I think it stops you from becoming too comfortable or closed off creatively. Spending time experiencing such a variety really reminded me how important curiosity is in creative work.
How does it feel stepping into your new role as an Account Manager at Poke?
It feels like a really motivating next step. I’ve always been drawn to the more strategic side of marketing, so being able to focus more on that while working with such an encouraging team is a huge plus.
I can’t wait to get to know the new clients and team members, take on new challenges, and really push myself in this new role.
How would you describe your approach to managing projects and clients now compared to when you first joined Poke?
When I first joined Poke, I was still at university, so naturally a lot has changed since then. I definitely feel much more confident in the way I communicate and collaborate on projects.
I’m more comfortable throwing out new ideas and challenging both myself and clients to push things further creatively and strategically. I’ve learned that to create something truly meaningful, you have to be curious and have those open conversations.
What’s one moment or experience from your time away that you’ll bring forward into your role?
Travelling with three friends across a completely new continent for five months definitely taught me a lot about communication, organisation, and adaptability.
We were constantly planning, problem-solving, balancing different priorities, and navigating unfamiliar situations, all while speaking very questionable Spanish… It really strengthened my ability to stay flexible, collaborate well with others, and keep things moving when plans changed unexpectedly. Those are all skills I’m sure will come in handy in this new role.
