October roundup

Poke’s 2nd Birthday

October saw the celebrations of Poke’s second birthday. What a two years it has been! Check out this video to get a flavour of what we have been up to since our launch in 2020 here.

The MIB Awards

After being shortlisted for the ‘best creative business’ at the MIB awards, we had a great night attending the awards ceremony. Unfortunately we didn’t leave with the award but it was still a great evening, meeting many new faces and celebrating the wide range of independent businesses that this region has to offer. Well done to all of the winners & a huge congratulations to MerseyMade who took home the title of ‘best creative business’.

New Designer

October saw us welcome a new member of the team Mairi Ferns as junior creative. We’ll be sharing an introduction to Mairi soon but she has already hit the ground running and is a fantastic addition to the creative team.

Professional Liverpool Annual Pub Quiz

Our client Professional Liverpool hosted yet another fantastic event in October at Nova Scotia in Liverpool with the annual pub quiz. The event was a huge success, but sadly despite a great effort in the music round our general knowledge let us down. We’ll get revising for next year! A big thank you to Andrew Ruffler and the team at PL for having us. Work has now started on preparing the marketing for their AGM on 17th November.

Visit to Oxford River Cruises

We had another lovely visit to our client Oxford River Cruises to discuss another exciting project with their team. Once again, we loved seeing the whole team and eating the delicious food at their sister restaurant The Folly.

Writing on the Wall book covers

We’ve been very busy in the studio working on a number of exciting projects. Something that was a new challenge for us was a series of book covers we created for our client Writing on the Wall. The results are a beautiful selection of covers that we will all be revealed soon along with some insights into the process of creating these from designer Joe Tracey.

Working with Everton in the Community

We have been working with Everton in the Community on creating a series of social posts to share not only the fantastic work they do, but more importantly the impact they have on people’s lives. The campaign aims to tell the stories of the lives they have changed through the amazing work they do.

Rebranding Liverpool Cathedral

Work has commenced on a hugely exciting project for us – the rebrand of Liverpool Cathedral. You can read all about the work we will be doing for them and why we are so proud to have been trusted to deliver such an important project here.
