Q2 at Poke: Our Highlights

Wow… it’s been a busy 3 months for us here at Poke. From incredible brand launches to 3 new members joining our ever-growing team, we’re incredibly proud of everything we’ve achieved over the last few months. As an ambitious independent agency, we’ve evolved into a business that’s contributing to wider conversations around creativity, marketing, business and place.

Let’s recap some of our highlights from the past 3 months.

We won the Prolific North Advertising Campaign award for Alder Hey Children’s Charity’s Proud to Make Liverpool Proud campaign

‘Proud to Make Liverpool Proud’ is a campaign rooted in the city’s pride, history and achievements. It taps into Liverpool’s unique identity, positioning Alder Hey not just as a hospital but as one of the region’s great icons. It was a brilliant night and it was great that our creative team, who were involved with the campaign, got to attend the awards ceremony and celebrate the win together.

We had 3 new team members join Poke

We welcomed not 1, not 2 but 3 new members to the Poke team!

Hannah Charnock joined us in April as our new Account Manager. She’s absolutely smashed the past 3 months and fits into the Poke team like a glove.

Next was Becky Whitney, our new Creative Artworker. Becky brings a whole new skill set to the Poke team and with her incredible eye for detail, she’s already become an integral part of our team.

Finally, we welcomed back Sophie Dance, this time as an Account Manager. After 6 months of amazing travelling stories, she’s stepped into her new role with ease and it’s been great to have her back.

We became Strategic Partnership with Downtown in Business

In May, we announced our new Strategic Partnership with Downtown in Business. Over the last two years, we’ve worked closely with the DIB team across a range of campaigns, events and marketing initiatives, building a relationship that’s played a huge part in our growth as an agency.

From supporting creative around MIPIM in Cannes to developing campaign designs for UKREiiF, it’s been exciting to work on projects that sit at the centre of conversations around business, investment and growth across the UK. This partnership feels like a natural next step for both organisations and we’re excited about what we can build together moving forward.

We launched a brand identity for Port Sunlight

Port Sunlight is unlike anywhere else. The challenge was not to reinvent Port Sunlight, but to bring its story forward. To create an identity that honours its heritage while showing why its founding principles still matter today.

At the heart of the new brand is a simple idea: Port Sunlight is a place of stories.

The new identity celebrates what makes the village unique, putting the people who have shaped its past, present and future at the centre of the story.

A key part of the new visual identity is Sunlight Serif, a bespoke typeface created specifically for Port Sunlight. Inspired by the original Sunlight Soap packaging, historic village signage and previous Port Sunlight identities, it creates a connection between the village’s heritage and its future.

The new brand identity has been rolled out across visitor communications, digital platforms, marketing materials, signage and future brand experiences, helping position Port Sunlight as one of the UK’s most distinctive heritage, cultural and community destinations.

We filmed an internal campaign with Novo Nordisk

The film communicates a really important message, so creating an impactful campaign was key. Molly, Paul and Alex headed to an arcade to shoot the film and not only was it a fun day out, we also got to design the assets for the premiere a few weeks later.

Casa Cillo launched

To support the launch, we created a completely new brand identity that reflected this more intimate experience while still feeling connected to the wider Cillo Family portfolio. Rather than creating another restaurant brand, our focus was on creating a brand that celebrated family, authenticity and the joy of sharing great food together.

From concept to launch in under a week, we brought the Casa Cillo vision to life. Guests are welcomed by the Cillo family, authentic Italian recipes are prepared tableside and every evening is built around conversation, hospitality and sharing great food together.

One of the many advantages of working in tourism and hospitality is getting to experience our clients’ incredible venues, attractions and restaurants for ourselves. We attended opening night of Casa Cillo and spent the evening with friends, colleagues, partners and clients celebrating the latest addition to the Cillo Family’s restaurants and seeing our creative vision brought to life.

Here’s to even more exciting projects in the second half of 2026…
