September – December The Roundup

Our MD Nicola joins the Professional Liverpool Marketing Sector Board

The board brings together industry professionals to showcase and develop the creative marketing expertise across Liverpool City Region. The board aims to drive standards in marketing, as well as offer advice, learnings and showcase marketing expertise for the Professional Liverpool membership base. Nicola is joined by other members such as Rosie Kenyon from Kenyons, Ethan Dent from River Capital and Leanne Nicholson from Mott MacDonald along with a host of other marketing experts.

Poke ‘Brand Experience’ event

We hosted our first ever Poke ‘Brand Experience’ event where we, along with some incredibly talented marketing professionals, discussed what makes an authentic brand experience. Hosting this event at Restaurant 8 was important for us because it is a venue that demonstrates their commitment to their own brand. The feedback that we received has been useful and each contribution insightful. We will be releasing a white paper sharing the insights from the evening in the new year.

Liverpool Sportwoman’s Lunch

Our MD, Nicola, and Project Manager, Molly, attended the Liverpool Sportswoman’s Lunch, which was created by Clare from our client Professional Liverpool. This event was a fabulous opportunity to focus on the sporting achievements of women over a glass of fizz and some networking. Thank you to Clare for the invite to this brilliant event.

Professional Liverpool Pub Quiz

We put our game faces on for the Professional LIverpool pub quiz at Love Lane Brewery. While we didn’t take home the trophy, we brushed up on our pop culture and indulged in some delicious chip butties. The event raised an impressive £680 for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.

New Content Creator Apprentice

At the end of October, we welcomed our content creator Kelly to the team. Kelly joins us through a partnership with the Juice Academy, where she receives training once every fortnight to help develop her content creation skills. She has been planning content for our socials, so keep an eye out for her posts.

New Animation and Illustration Designer

Animator Na joined the Poke team at the start of November and began working on some exciting new designs for our clients. She is a real asset to our team and her skillset has been breathing new life into our work.

Our team took the Future London Academy Branding Now course

Our creative team completed the Future London Academy Branding Now course to continue to grow their brand strategy knowledge. The course focuses on how to build a brand story that will resonate internally. Guided by experienced curators, our team explored how to develop an ambitous brand system and launch with impact.

Attended the Gather: Next Steps event

We attended the Gather: Next Steps event. Gather is exclusively for digital, creative and tech businesses based in the Liverpool City Region. They aim to equip people with the tools, knowledge and network to advance their skills. Our Account Manager, Emily, will be joining their Emerging Leaders course, which is designed to help upcoming leaders accelerate their personal and business growth. We have no doubt that Emily will succeed and we look forward to seeing her progress with this course.

Sponsors for Professional Liverpool’s Members’ Lunch

We sponsored Professional Liverpool’s Members’ Lunch and provided all attendees with a thought provoking leaflet on their table at the event. Interesting conversations were had about a brand being so much more than a logo. We loved interacting with the guests and getting to see their opinions on a topic that we care about.

Attended the press night for The Light Before Christmas: The Manger by Luxmuralis

Our account management team attended the press night for Luxmuralis’ Light Before Christmas: The Manger at Liverpool Cathedral. It was rewarding to see the audience reactions to the show after we spent time marketing this event to give it the exposure it deserves. Congratulations to the Liverpool Cathedral team on pulling together such a successful event.

The Poke Christmas party

The Poke Christmas party was a success! The team enjoyed 18 holes of golf at Golf Fang before sitting down for a well-deserved meal at Madre. Of course it wouldn’t have been a Poke do without a photobooth takeover to end the night.
