Poke’s Start of 2024

2024 is off to a flying start for the Poke team. From promotions to new brand launches, we’ve had another exciting month. Here’s a rundown of everything we’ve been up to for the past few weeks.

Our Project Executive, Molly Kyte, was promoted to Project Manager

Molly joined Poke in March 2021 as a Junior Digital Marketing Apprentice and she found her niche in account management. She has fantastic client relationship skills and alongside Account Manager Emily Kench, she has delivered incredible projects to our clients. Molly has settled into her new role and we are looking forward to seeing her progress.

Liverpool Cathedral launched their new brand

Our client Liverpool Cathedral launched their new brand. This new brand showcases the special experience that the Cathedral offers to its people as well as Liverpool’s culture and heritage. The brand theme ‘Look up’ encourages exploration and we created a brand identity inspired by the iconic building itself. We have developed the Cathedral’s positioning, tone of voice, identity and branding, along with a new website.

Our MD, Nicola Docking, was nominated for a North West Leadership Award

Nicola has been shortlisted for Sales and Marketing Leader in TheBusinessDesk.com Leadership Awards. In what has been a busy year for Poke, this is a fantastic achievement and we are crossing our fingers for the ceremony in March!

We unleashed our competitive sides at Professional Liverpool’s Games At Arcains event

Our client Professional Liverpool invited us to Arcains for a fun evening of video games and networking. We played classics such as Pac-Man, Mario Kart and Guitar Hero, and boosted our energy levels afterwards with delicious pizza and wine. It’s amazing to see how Professional Liverpool are finding new, engaging ways to encourage networking between their members and we had a great time.

We reached 500 followers on Linkedin

Our Linkedin reached an exciting milestone of 500 followers and we went out for a team lunch at Albert’s Schloss to celebrate. Make sure to follow us on our socials below to keep up to date with all things Poke.

We launched our new brand after months of planning

As January came to a close, we launched our rebrand. This included a new logo, tagline and a new website. It is a brand that represents where we are three years into our journey and we are constantly holding ourselves to “Ambitious with Brands”. The team put in an enormous amount of effort to give Poke a new look and feel, and we are ecstatic with how positive the reception has been.

Our Content Creator, Kelly, managed Elevate’s social channels for the DJ Battle between Steve Rotheram and Andy Burnham

As part of her apprenticeship with the Juice Academy, Kelly was given the opportunity to volunteer as Elevate’s content creator to capture content for the DJ Battle event at Camp and Furnace. Along with raising money for homeless charities, this was a fantastic opportunity for Kelly to practise planning and posting content during a live event and we are looking forward to seeing how she puts these skills to use for the event work that we do at Poke.

Nicola will be attending Professional Liverpool’s first debate

On the 27th February, our MD Nicola will be on the panel for Professional Liverpool’s monthly debate. In this month’s debate, the panel will be discussing the pros and cons of Linkedin as a business tool. We are looking forward to hearing the results of the debate on such an interesting topic.
