One of Liverpool’s largest member organisations has turned to creative marketing agency Poke Marketing for their latest rebrand.
Representing more than 350 professional services firms across the city region, Professional Liverpool enlisted Poke to help develop their positioning, in order to show ‘the momentum, shift and movement that they are now leading’, in line with the theme ‘Change For The Better’.
The duo has worked together since early 2022, after Poke came out on top in a competitive tender process to be Professional Liverpool’s retained marketing agency.
Head of Strategy Nicola Docking said: “The last couple of years have been a period of great change for Professional Liverpool. Throughout the pandemic the team steered their members through the unknown and provided a vital coming together for businesses across the city region. Because of that great work, they now have a strong and resilient membership base that is ready to be led by Professional Liverpool to make waves and drive real change.
“In light of this, we developed a new tone of voice that is bolder and speaks more confidently both about Professional Liverpool’s position, and also of the work being carried out by their members. The new strapline is “Change For The Better”, which summarises the reason for Professional Liverpool’s existence and everything the collective membership are working towards.”
The new designs demonstrate a more confident approach, with the creative becoming more agile and flexible, so that it can successfully be implemented across the diverse variety of work Professional Liverpool does.
Creative Director Mark Harrington said: “The new designs fit with where Professional Liverpool is in 2023. We have developed a new logo and style that uses dynamic graphics, a clearer typeface, and bolder palette that represents the shift and movement the team are leading in the City Region.”
Andrew Ruffler, CEO of Professional Liverpool, said: “When we appointed Poke Marketing, we were keen to work with a local agency who could work flexibly and collaboratively with our team, and use their creative expertise to have an impact on the way in which we communicate with our members and stakeholders.
“We have been really impressed with how the partnership has evolved, with their fresh perspective not only supporting our team’s day-to-day activity, but also with high profile new projects such as our LeadHere professional development programme.”
The rebrand was officially unveiled at Professional Liverpool’s largest networking event of the year, Cannes Do, which was hosted at the Titanic Hotel and welcomed over 500 attendees.
Poke was established back in 2020 and is made up of a group of people, and friends, who have worked together at other agencies all over the world during the last 15 years. It employs an agile payment structure, basing fees on hitting KPIs rather than on time.
The team work on a host of impressive projects, including the recent win of the rebrand of Liverpool Cathedral, having pitched against 18 other leading agencies from around the UK.
