December Roundup

Happy New Year! We are kicking off 2023 with lots of exciting launches, client work and networking events coming up in the next couple of months. But first a quick look back at what we did in December…

WoW book covers launch

After developing a number of previous book covers for WoW’s W2W courses, in December we designed a further two books that were released to the collection. These are two of our favourite designs yet.

An Hour with an Indie

Following the release of our hospitality audience insights document in November, our Head of Strategy, Nicola Docking, was invited to feature on the podcast with ‘An Hour with an Indie’. A podcast aimed at sharing stories, lessons and inspiration from leaders within the independent hospitality community.

She shared her insights on the customer personas in the hospitality sector, and the impact of covid, the cost of living crisis, food price increases and Gen Z becoming adult customers has had on their behavior.

Our Christmas Do!

We celebrated Christmas in style with a night at the new Albert Schloss on Bold Street where we shared pretzels, a few drinks and spent a lot of time in their photobooth! We had a brilliant time and it was a great way to end a fantastic year at Poke.

Predictions for 2023

Alongside other industry leaders, Nicola was asked by Prolific North to share her predictions for the coming year in their article ‘The next big thing for 2023’.

Here is a snippet of her thoughts…

“With the majority of industries still reeling from lockdown, the emergence of Gen Z as adult consumers and the cost-of-living crisis in full swing, for many marketeers it is a case of getting back to basics and really learning about your target audience again. 2023 will see more openness to invest in strategy, rather than just tactics, as brands must relearn their audience’s behaviour.”
