Even though the weather hasn’t been on our side this summer, we’ve still been up to so much. Here’s a recap of Summer at Poke.
Senior Account Manager, Emily, and Project Manager, Molly, attended the UpNorth Festival in Manchester
UpNorth is a one day marketing festival in Manchester which brings together lead marketers and entrepreneurs to provide content on all things digital marketing. This was a valuable way for our account management team to hear other people’s thoughts on the digital marketing industry and bring back ideas on how we can get more from our marketing strategies.
Creative Boom interviewed us about our rebrand of National Football Museum
We sat down with Creative Boom to discuss our creative choices for the rebrand and how we brought ‘Football Matters’ to life across the venue and throughout the visitor experience. We were able to detail the creative process from the logo design, colour palette, tone of voice, and even signage.
Our MD, Nicola, joined Janine Ross at Prolific North’s Northern Marketing Festival to talk about Poke’s rebrand of National Football Museum
Rebranding an iconic building is a lengthy process and their discussion unpicked how Football Matters came to be the focus of the new brand. Feedback from attendees was also very positive and it was fantastic to continue the discussion on social media after the festival.
The team attended the Prolific North Awards in Manchester
Poke was nominated for Rebrand: Leisure/Retail and Creative Agency. While we didn’t take home the trophy, it was still an incredible achievement to be shortlisted. Celebrating the achievements of the region’s creative sector made for a brilliant night and our clients made the evening even more enjoyable.
Creative Bloq featured our logo design for National Football Museum as one of the best logo designs of 2024
Creative Bloq is a site for creatives and keeps its readers up to date with the latest global design trends and cutting-edge technology. This is what they said about National Football Museum’s brand new logo:
The National Football Museum logo is a goal. Literally. Proof that simplicity is often the way to go with logo design, the icon is inspired by a goal and a ball. But designing such a minimalist logo in a way that allows easy interpretation is a huge challenge. Poke Marketing achieved this by using the shape of a goal viewed at an angle rather than face on.
Professional Liverpool’s new website launched
Professional Liverpool needed a new website that keeps their members’ needs in mind and emphasises the incredible work that the team do for the LCR business community. The new website makes it easier for members to book events, keep up to date with news and learn more about PL’s work in shaping the region.
The PlumbPro campaign launched
Plumb Centre launched an industry disrupting membership scheme. We developed the creative to cut through the noise in a world of useless point based loyalty apps. For the campaign, we created all promotional assets and emphasised Plumb Centre’s commitment to supporting their customers. Our ad campaign is live across over 400 of their branches.
The Poke ladies attended Professional Liverpool’s Summer Social
Even though the sunshine was hiding, we had a brilliant time at our client Professional Liverpool’s annual Summer Social event. This is always a great opportunity for networking.
We launched Gateway Angels’ rebrand
Our Gateway Angels rebrand was received positively and the new look and feel of the organisation represents their mission to untap the incredible business talent and potential that the Liverpool City Region has. Make sure to check out the new website below.
Our Creative Designer, Paul, was promoted to Senior Designer
Paul started at Poke a year ago and the quality and innovation of his work is what makes him the perfect Senior Designer for our studio. His enthusiasm for his team’s projects is undeniable and we are pleased to say that he is continuing to flourish in this new role.
We attended Liverpool Cathedral’s Monadic Singularity exhibition
It’s always incredible to see the amount of work that Liverpool Cathedral put into their events and the press night for Monadic Singularity didn’t disappoint. The stunning building was the perfect backdrop for this exhibition by the talented Anish Kapoor. The exhibition is on show until the 15th September, so make sure to check it out on your next trip to Liverpool.

This is a big and exciting step for us and we can’t wait to show clients new and old around our new office. If you’re around the Old Hall Street area, come and say hello! Whether it’s biscuits or a beer, we are ready to welcome visitors.
