To mark five years of impactful, feminist funding, the Equality Fund approached us to help tell their story. Throughout the last five years, the Equality Fund has resourced high-impact women’s rights organisations and feminist movements worldwide. They wanted us to animate a video that would celebrate the voices, partnerships and imagination that have driven the movement forward. It was about impact, connection, and momentum.

The challenge was to create a visually rich, emotionally grounded animation that weaves together five years of progress into one cohesive story. It needed to land with impact on a big screen at a high-profile New York event, while also being versatile enough for Equality Fund’s digital channels.

The central theme, Rhythm of Movements, shaped our approach. It speaks to how social change builds over time, using individual ‘threads’ as a visual language to highlight the different factors coming together for a gender-equal future. Each thread represents a person, a funder, a movement. Woven together, they form something bigger: a tapestry of change.

At times they move independently, like the strings of an instrument, each with its own tone and pace. But as the animation builds, those threads begin to connect, intertwine and work in harmony. Together, they form a larger picture – creating infographics, data points and symbols that reflect five years of meaningful progress.

The video debuted at the Equality Fund’s high-level in-person anniversary event in New York Spring 2025 and now lives across their digital channels as a lasting celebration of what feminist funding can achieve through shared effort and vision.
